Yam and Red Date Soup
A smooth, naturally sweet puree blending steamed Chinese yam with pitted red dates and water, easily made in a blender for a nourishing, gentle dessert or breakfast bowl.
Instructions
- 1

Wash the Chinese yam and put it in a pot to steam until cooked, then peel it. Peeling after steaming can prevent the yam skin from causing itchiness when it comes into contact with the skin. Remove the pits from the red dates and cut them into small pieces. The red dates I chose are soft; if they are not soft enough, you can soak them in water beforehand.
- 2

Break the Chinese yam into small pieces, and put them together with red dates into the blender. I used a juicer, which works very well.
- 3

Add about half a cup of water; I used purified water.
- 4

Turn on the machine and blend until smooth.
