Young Coconut, Sugarcane, Fish Maw, and Chicken Drumstick Soup
A luxurious Cantonese soup stewing young coconut water and flesh with sugarcane, fish maw, sea cucumber, and chicken for a naturally sweet, silky, collagen-rich broth.
Instructions
- 1

First, use a coconut opener to poke two small holes in the young coconut.
- 2

Pour out the coconut water.
- 3

Use a knife to split the young coconut in half, scoop out the coconut meat; because it is a tender coconut, it can be scooped out with a spoon.
- 4

Chicken feet, lean meat, soaked fish maw, and sea cucumber are boiled to remove the fishy smell.
- 5

Organic chicken drumsticks bought from Costco, thawed, skinned, and blanched.
- 6

Peel the sugarcane, cut it into small sections, then split each one into four.
- 7

Put all the ingredients into a soup pot, pour in the coconut water, then add an appropriate amount of water. Bring to a boil over high heat for 10 minutes, then simmer over low heat for 2-2.5 hours.
- 8

After cooking, use a skimmer to remove the fat.
- 9

Then it can be drunk. (This soup is sweet and clear, no need to add salt, of course, if you like, you can add some.)
- 10

Moisturizes and nourishes the skin, stops cough, and relieves dryness.
